先生から伝えたい言葉
生徒の皆さんの心に留めておいて欲しいことを先生が交代で話をします。
A long time ago, Jesus asked his friends to wait for him in the boat while he went to a mountain to pray.
As the men waited, a strong storm appeared and blew the boat into the middle of the ocean.
The men tried to row the boat back to shore, but they couldn’t.
The men were worried about Jesus. How could they get back to him?
Then they saw a man walking on the water, coming towards the boat.
As the man walked closer, they could see it was Jesus!
One of the men, named Peter, asked if he could walk on water too. Jesus said yes, as long as he kept his focus on Jesus.
Soon, Peter was walking on water.
But, the moment Peter took his eyes of Jesus and looked down at the ocean, he began to sink.
Jesus grabbed Peter and saved him.
これは聖書からのお話です。イエスキリスト様が海の上で歩く姿を見て、弟子のピーターもイエス様を見ながら、水の上を歩くことができました。しかし、ピーターが下の海を見た瞬間、おぼれそうになってしまいました。
私も日本に来てから、何度もおぼれそうになったことがあります。一生懸命日本語を勉強しても、なかなか上達しません。日本語検定の1級を取得するのに、想像以上の時間がかかりました。私の日本語の発音や発言に対して、バカにされることが今だにあります。
でも私はそれに負けないです。私のフォーカスは日本が大好きです。素敵な家族、素敵な友だちに恵まれています。今夜また家族に会えることを楽しみにして、一日頑張ります。週末、友達とごはんを食べに行くことを楽しみにして、頑張ります。小さくてもいいから、フォーカスを見つけて、それに向かっていけば、必ずものごとは良い方向へ向かいます。下を見てはいけません。
